Croissant Hot Dogs in a Blanket
A buttery, flaky twist on the classic pigs in a blanket. Super easy and satisfying, ready in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients
Makes 4 croissant dogs
4 croissant dough pieces (got mine from Whole Foods)
4 hot dogs
2 slices American cheese, halved (optional)
1–2 Tbsp melted butter (optional)
Everything bagel seasoning (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prep the Croissants
Slice each croissant dough piece lengthwise like a hot dog bun, but don’t cut all the way through—leave the bottom intact.
Add the Hot Dogs
Place one hot dog into each croissant “bun.”
Bake
Arrange on a lined baking sheet.
Bake for 18–20 minutes, until the croissant is puffed and golden brown.
Optional Butter Glaze
For extra shine and richness, brush with melted butter 1–2 minutes before removing from the oven.
Finish & Serve
Once out of the oven, tuck a half-slice of American cheese into each hot croissant dog so it melts.
Brush with more butter and sprinkle with everything seasoning, if using.
Serve warm and enjoy!
